Visa & Entry
Most nationalities qualify for India's e-visa - a simple online process that takes minutes to complete.
- Apply via indiavisaonline.gov.in - the official government portal.
- E-tourist Visa available for up to 90 days, double or multiple entry.
- Apply at least 4-5 business days before your arrival date.
- Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond arrival
- Print your e-Visa and carry it with you.
Best Time To Visit
India's seasons vary enormously by region. Choosing the right window makes all the differences.
- October - March: Ideal for Rajasthan, the south, and most heritage circuits.
- April - June: Perfect for the Himalayas and Spiti Valley - cool and accessible.
- July - September: Monsoon season -- lush and dramatic, but some roads close.
- Avoid peak summer (May - June) in the Rajasthan plains, temperature exceeds 45'C.

What To Pack
Pack light and layer smart. Comfort and cultural sensitivity should guide every clothing choice.

- ATMs are widely available in cities; less reliable in remote regions.
- Notify your bank before travel to avoid your card being blocked-
